"I wonder sometimes, how a song can grab a hold of me at just the right moment, just as I need it the most. Now that I am at an important change in my life and listen to the song, it gives me the strength to take the final step with ease. In terms of music, there is not really anything else that I could wish for right now.

- Susanna Dahlén, Being Blogged, "Imminence - A Mark On My Soul".

"Enter IMMINENCE, a Swedish metalcore quintet determined to use powerful, diverse musical soundscapes as a means of delivering immersive, emotional lyrics by way of visceral, throat-rending vocals. On their debut full length album, I, IMMINENCE combine driving, metallic aggression and energy with the delicate frills and passion of a veteran post-hardcore act to create something genuine and unique..." (9/10)

- Connor Welsh, New Transcendence, "Review: Imminence - I [2014]".

"IMMINENCE easily blend the technical prowess of a well seasoned band, with the hunger of a young band. The result is an incredible record." (8.25/10)

- Jon Hole, The Outcast Nation, "Imminence - I".

History:

IMMINENCE began as a music project, the fall of 2009, with roots in the melodic death metal genre. The project was founded by guitarist Harald Barrett in the southernmost part of Sweden. Shortly after, Eddie Berg joined on vocals.
In late February 2010, guitarist Alex Arnoldsson joined the group. Simultaneously a decision was made that the band were to be called IMMINENCE.
By this time they had slowly started to leave the original genre, melodic death metal, and begun breaking new ground. With a more open-minded character, new influences were gathered from a variety of different genres. The sound created was far more unique, and the quality of the music became more atmospheric, dynamic and powerful than before.

The composition of band members has changed along the way until finally Peter Hanström took over the drums in March 2012.

2013, IMMINENCE signs a record deal with WE ARE TRIUMPHANT RECORDS distributed by VICTORY RECORDS for the release of their second EP "Return To Helios" with the single “Wine & Water”.

The band has since then opened for acts likes SUICIDE SILENCE, HAMMERFALL, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR and AMARANTHE as well as performed at Sweden's largest metal festival, METALTOWN, together with SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, MARILYN MANSON, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, IN FLAMES and many more.

In September 2014, they released their debut full length album called "I", on We Are Triumphant Records, and followed up with a European tour.

In February 2015, IMMINENCE released an acoustic version of their song "Wine & Water", a part of the acoustic project called "A Mark On My Soul".

After a European tour in May, IMMINENCE signed a record deal with ARISING EMPIRE - the new branch of NUCLEAR BLAST for modern metal and headed out on another EU/UK tour in September.

In time for their new single, "The Sickness", and first release on Arising Empire, Max Holmberg was announced as the new permanent bassist.
